The DOJO-Academy of Martial Arts Awards Program is a complimentary service initiated so that students might express their gratitude, respect, and admiration for those Sensei who have truly performed above and beyond the normal call of martial arts instruction and achieved a level of skill and understanding that enables them to shine in the eyes of those who come to learn from them.
These accolades are not granted lightly nor without sufficient petition and documentation of the individual’s service and contribution. The process is much like that used in military organizations for suggesting commendations, letters of merit, or medals for bravery and valor. The customary procedure is for students of a Dojo to sign the certificate and present it to their Sensei in a formal or informal ceremony. Very often, there is insufficient space for the signatures of all those who wish to participate. For that reason this secondary sheet of high quality certificate paper is provided, if need be, to serve as an ancillary part of the document and receive these additional names on the other side. In this event, the senior students usually sign the first page and junior ranks this secondary one. If it is a small class, which may be no less devoted, this second page serves as an explanation of the document and the process by which it was procured.
These are not the only Awards available, merely a sample. We can customize the Certificate to suit your requirements. So that the recipient will be honored by your gesture and presentation. Teachers have great power. The power to spark imagination and dreams, to help others grow, and grow themselves in the process. They teach skills and ideas that last a lifetime and guide minds, young or old, on a personal quest to change their lives for the better. Thus helping to shape the future by setting a good example and helping others.
There is no more noble cause than this.
Our fellowship exists as a confederation of independent agents for the purpose of preserving, practicing, studying, and teaching the Martial Arts. To qualify for membership, an applicant must present previous certification of rank in recognized fighting system. Or, test in person before a panel of qualified DOJO Instructors for graduation. In the 21st century we have included videotesting as an alternative method. We welcome and salute all martial artists from all styles and systems and invite them to join us in the great work of sharing this knowledge with others.
