It has been my privilege for many years to meet and train with Ken Itake. I am honored that he found my humble literary works of some value and sought me out. I often say that I do not have students, I have friends with whom I work out. He is one of the masters of our ryu (school/style).

This is a true adventure of Ken (Akuma) Itake, one of Ashida Kim’s oldest and most trusted students, who first came to Ashida Kim’s Training Camp as a spy for a rival clan, and became one of us instead. He went on to military service and became a secret agent, a true, modern day, working Ninja, one of dozens all over the world. When this book was first published, the last chapter was left out because the publishers wanted "an instructional manual, not an action novel."
When he retired from active duty, he reunited with Sensei Kim and wrote How I Became A Ninja, Ashida Kim’s Training Camp Part Two that includes the real life rescue chapter omitted from Part One. He opened a Dojo where he teaches Kage Ryu Ninjitsu (Shadow School). He still hires out for certain select operations, because his sense of adventure, duty and skills have not diminished.
